Drive Time 7.5 hours Miles Driven 480 miles Final Location Yellow Circle BLM Land 38°26’09.2″N 109°25’40.6″W Second Leg, Road to Moab We said goodbye to the wonderful truck stop, TA Center and headed toward Moab, Utah, for our second stop of our 4 day road trip from Texas to Oregon. We felt a rush of excitement and just a hint of nerves as we left familiar roads behind, ready to experience life on the highway. Why are we heading to Oregon, you ask? Well, it’s all for some van flooring. We found a USA Company named DIY Van who installs composite insulated flooring — all in one piece. So that meant driving over 2,000 miles in our van, which made it our longest road trip

Vanlife: Caddo Lake State Park

Welcome to our Caddo Lake State Park blog! We didn’t pick this place, but boy was it a great state park. 10/10 highly recommend. For a brief run down, the park was easy to get to and close to town if we needed anything. It was very clean and well maintained and a really great bathroom (that was heated!!). Read more on the specifics below about Caddo Lake State Park and what we did when we were there! Let’s start it off preparing to get on the road. Usually I’m (Danielle) very much on top of planning way in advance. I have the van ready, groceries packed, everything done in advance, except for this time. Van Build: Chapter 3 MaxxAir Fan

Chapter 3 – let’s get some circulation going. We installed the MaxxAir Fan early on since we would have to cut holes into the van and wanted to get it done before we installed the items on the roof rack. We want to start off by giving a big thank you to Orion Van Gear for being a great company to get our accessories from. We purchased our MaxxAir Fan from Orion and if they sold everything we would need, we use them exclusivly.  Maxxair 00-07500K MaxxFan Deluxe with Remote The Maxxair 00-07500K MaxxAir Fan Deluxe with Remote was exactly what we were looking for. It’s quiet, powerful, and super easy to use. We can leave it open, even when it rains, and still get airflow. What really sold

Van Build: Chapter 2 Orion’s Roof

Chapter 2 is all about the roof! After our windows were completed, we focused on our roof. This is where our solar panels and deck panels would live on top of. We did extensive research and decided that Orion Van Gear was the best company for all our projects. Not only did we get our roof rack/deck plus solar panels from Orion, we also got our MaxxAir Fan. The process of getting everything we need was easy. They are super personable and chatted on social media and email. Once the van is done, we plan to visit them. We want to meet in person and show them what they helped create. Ford Transit Stealth+ Roof Rack We knew we needed a roof rack for our Ford Transit, but

Van Build: Chapter 1 Windows

Welcome to our van build! Chapter 1 is windows, and for good reason. Before you start on anything with building out your van, you need to decide on windows. If you are lucky enough to buy a van that already has all the windows you would like, PERFECT! You can just read along and envision needing to cut up your van. But if you are like us, you bought a windowless shell of a van. This guide is a great place to start. Window Placement Since our floor plan was picked, we knew where we needed our windows. We wanted to have two windows across from each other for the living space/bedroom. This was important so we feel as open as possible, and have a

Vanlife: Our Next Journey… Vanlife!

Why in the world would y’all want to live in a van? This is a question we get often. Well, the answer is pretty simple… we love to travel. We both work remote jobs as regular 9 – 5 team members for a great company. So as long as we have great internet, we can work from wherever. About 3-4 years ago, vanlife content started popping up on our feeds and instantly thought it was cool! In 2023, we had a travel year. We traveled 99 days out of the whole year, and we had a blast. We were all over the place, seeing new things and visiting family and friends so freely. One of those places was Washington State for our anniversary. During this
